How long will it take to plaster my pool?

If your pool is new, it takes around 4-5 hours to plaster your pool.  On a standard replaster, weather permitting, it will only take about two to three consecutive days for extra work.  Other renovations, such as replacing or adding tile, may slightly increase the length of the job.

What do I do after my pool has been plastered?

Depending on your pool finish, the plaster crew may start the water to fill your pool.  If they do not start the water there may be another step required and another crew will start the water after the final step.  When they start the water, you must leave the water on until it reaches the middle of the tile.  If you turn off the water before it reaches the tile, it will leave a bathtub ring around your pool that will be impossible to remove.

How long does it take to fill my pool?

Normally it takes 24 to 48 hours to fill a pool.

What does it mean to polish my pool?

Light acid wash and sanding are used to polish your pool to expose the aggregate.  Polishing a pool is mostly done on Hydrazzo finishes.

How long do I have to wait until I can put chemicals in my pool?

You can put chemicals into your pool as soon as it is full.  Take a water sample to your local pool store for a free test to determine the proper steps.  Always follow any special instruction from your pool service company.
